This is Part Two of MUSE/IQUE's Planet Bernstein: A Party in Three Parts celebrating the creative gravity of Leonard Bernstein. The series begins on July 11 with Cosmic/Collaboration and on concludes on August 29 with In/Side Story.

"Dee Dee Bridgewater is the most dynamite female jazz vocalist of this century. She is the epitome of constant motion..." - Amsterdam News, 3/26/15

Dee Dee Bridgewater joins us for a jam session as Leonard Bernstein rewrites the rules for jazz.

In this raucous evening, the artists of MUSE/IQUE recreate his hot fusion of classical and jazz influences into something wild and wonderful.

Dee Dee uncovers the sultry secrets behind songs like "Big Stuff" and composers like Sondheim, Gershwin, and Porter.

And our orchestra performs Bernstein's only original film score - his brilliant and mischievous music from On the Waterfront.

As Bernstein transforms jazz into our new classical music, this event will make you swing and jive and feel alive.
