Native American History Month Program: "The Tongva People Today"

In recognition and celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Cindi Alvitre, a member of the Tongva people and lecturer in American Indian Studies at Cal State Long Beach, will share a brief cultural history of the Tongva people and discuss the issues currently facing this tribe today, including their efforts to promote environmental awareness in the LA area. Lunch will be provided to the first 20 participants.
