THIS SEMINAR HAS BEEN CANCELLED - Tori with discrete group actions in arithmetic
Peter Xu, Mathematics Department, UCLA,

The data of a torus bundle (perhaps with extra structure) with a discrete group action leads to the construction of group cocycles of arithmetic interest, often called "Eisenstein" or "polylogarithm" cocycles. We discuss a general method to obtain explicit formulas for these cocycles using symbol complexes, as well as their relationship to L-values, Sharifi's conjectures, and the Kudla program.
