Off the Clock: Art On Your Own Time
This year marks the ninth annual exhibition featuring artwork created by our talented co-workers. Their best offerings will be on display including photography, drawings and paintings, ceramics and pottery, knitting and needlework, woodwork and metalwork, quilts, and much more.
The exhibit will be held February 4, 5, and 6 in Dabney Lounge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The awards will be announced at a reception held on Thursday, February 6 at 3 p.m.
In conjunction with the art exhibit, on Friday, February 7 at noon there will be a musical performance by Julia Greer, Professor of Materials Science and Mechanics; Monica Kohler, Senior Research Fellow in Mechanical and Civil Engineering; Lecturer in Mechanical and Civil Engineering; Victor Tsai, Assistant Professor of Geophysics; and Megan Newcombe, Grad Student in Geological and Planetary Sciences, who will be playing music by Bach, Schumann, and Beethoven.
Please visit the exhibit throughout the week and bring your family and co-workers to enjoy the reception and musical performance. There is no charge for any of the events and you are encouraged to come and enjoy the art as many times as you like!
