Direct and Remote Ring Construction via Palladium(0)-Catalyzed C(sp3)–H Activation

Research efforts from our group in the past couple of decades have been dedicated to the functionalization of non-activated C(sp³)–H and C(sp²)-H bonds using catalysis by palladium(0) complexes. This lecture will present some of the most recent aspects of this chemistry, including enantioselective reactions, remote bond formation using the 1,4-Pd shift strategy, and applications in natural product synthesis.
