This event is open only to current members of The Friends of Beckman Auditorium. For information on this community-based support group for Caltech Public Events, including the many other benefits enjoyed by Friends' members, please see the Friends of Beckman web page.

Palomar Observatory is located in north San Diego County, California. It is a world-class center of astronomical research that is owned and operated by Caltech. The observatory is home to five telescopes that are used each night for a wide variety of astronomical research programs. The research is conducted by Caltech's faculty, post-doctoral fellows and students, and by researchers at Caltech's collaborating institutions.

Join us for a tour of this unique facility! The bus will depart from the parking lot behind Caltech's Beckman Auditorium at 9:00 a.m., and we expect to return to campus about 6:00 p.m.

Cost: $75.00 per person - cost includes transportation, lunch, and tour
