Parker Quartet with Kikuei Ikeda
- Public Event
The Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet garnered international acclaim in 2005, winning the Concert Artists Guild Competition, as well as the Grand Prix and Mozart Prize at the Bordeaux (formerly Evian) International String Quartet Competition. It is the ensemble's recent collaboration with the peots of With Our Words, however, that leads us to add sweetbriar, the flower of poetry, to our bouquet.
Kikuei Ikeda was second violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet for nearly 40 years. His many prizes include those of the Mainichi, NHK, Haken and Vianna da Motta competitions.
