The Caltech Folk Music Society is proud to welcome Peter Ostroushko back to Caltech. Peter gained his early national fame as music director and frequent performer on Garrison Keilor's Prairie Home Companion radio show.
He is a master of mandolin and fiddle and an accomplished composer of tunes ranging from fun, rambunctious numbers to heartbreakingly beautiful pieces. In his previous concerts here, Peter has also demonstrated that he sings well too, and he includes many styles of music in his shows.
He will be accompanied here by a fine guitarist, Dirk Freymuth, whose interplay will enhance Peter's music even more.
