Beckman Auditorium
- Public Event
In CBS's new series NUMB3RS, from executive producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott, FBI Special Agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) recruits his mathematical genius brother Charlie (David Krumholtz) to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. Inspired by actual events, NUMB3RS depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions.
This special advance preview screening of the first episode at Caltech is an acknowledgement that, although Caltech is not mentioned by name in the show, the creators have modeled the university in the show on Caltech, developing characters loosely based on a Caltech professor and students. Portions of the series have been filmed on the Caltech campus. NUMB3RS premieres on Sunday, January 23rd at 10:00 p.m., immediately following the AFC Championship Game, and will air in its regular slot beginning Friday, January 28th at 10:00 p.m.
