The Los Angeles-based Primavera Trio has performed extensively in the Southern California area. The members of the Primavera Trio are all prominent Los Angeles-based performers and teachers.

A native of Vancouver, Canada, violinist Lisa Sutton is an alumna of the Yale School of Music, where she studied with Broadus Erle, Syoko Aki and Szymon Goldberg. After graduating from Yale she was a member of the Houston Symphony and was for many years a Principal player with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Currently, Ms. Sutton is Assistant Concertmaster for the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, and in the summer months holds the position of Associate Concertmaster for the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she teaches and appears regularly as a soloist and chamber music performer.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, cellist Rowena Hammill earned degrees from Northern Illinois University and Indiana University, where she was an assistant to Janos Starker. She taught at the University of Northern Iowa for four years until she moved to Los Angeles in 1989 to teach at California State University Northridge. She was the Assistant Principal Cello of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra from 1990-1998, and presently holds the position of Associate Principal Cello of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra.

Pianist Françoise Régnat graduated from the Paris Conservatoire with first prizes in both Piano and Chamber Music. She also holds an Artist Diploma from Indiana University, where she was a student of Georgy Sebok. Ms. Régnat was a prize winner in the Casella International Competition in Naples, Italy, as well as winner of the Young Concert Artists Guild in New York (1972). Additionally, she was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque Franz Liszt in Budapest, Hungary (1977) for her recording of the complete works for piano and violin of Liszt. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the United States and is frequently invited to give master classes as well as to adjudicate for piano competitions. Ms. Régnat is currently Professor of Music at California State University Northridge.
