Our first meeting will be introductory. After discussing the link between Ricci curvature and functional inequalities in the case of Riemannian manifolds, we'll overview various generalizations in classical and quantum probability, with a particular emphasis on Datta and Rouzé's HWI inequality in the framework of quantum Markov semigroups that satisfy the detailed balance condition. At the end, we'll decide the nature and content of the next sessions.
