Join a Rocket Fund awardee and an entrepreneurial CEO to learn more about their experience starting sustainable energy and biomedical companies.

Former Fellow of the Resnick Sustainability Institute Cody Finke (PhD, 2019), CEO and founder of Brimstone Energy, and Dr. Andrea Choe (PhD, 2011, (MD), Postdoc, 2014), CEO and founder of Holoclara, will discuss their entrepreneurial journey from lab bench and medicine to real world applications and share more about Rocket Fund resources, and other funding sources/support. Both started with technology innovations developed in Caltech labs and overcame roadblocks to turn them into renewable energy and biomedical businesses.

Learn how early financial support from sources such as the Resnick Sustainability Institute's Rocket Fund https://rocketfund.caltech.edu/ can help get ventures started. The Rocket Fund offers grants to young companies to build their first commercial prototypes and demonstrate with potential customers and partners. Founded in 2015, Rocket Fund companies have secured more than $85 million in follow-on funding from grants, sales and services and investment.
