"The Saint-Saëns is something of a curiosity and very seldom performed (here in the UK, at least!). It is very virtuosic and great fun to play, but also a good contrast to the Brahms, which is one of the best known works on the piano and strings repertoire and one of the greatest. The Martin Butler is one of our most engaging commissions–nocturnal and atmospheric." (William Howard, Ensemble pianist)

Program:
Butler - Sequenza Notturna *
Saint-Saëns - Piano Quartet in B-flat Major, Op.41 *
Brahms - Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25

* First Coleman Chamber Concert performance
