Learn about tiny organisms called microbes that live in the soil and what designing science experiments has in common with practicing a musical instrument in this presentation by Caltech graduate student Hannah Dion-Kirschner.

This in-person STEM field trip is free, but reservations are required.

About the Series

Everyone's journey to becoming a scientist is unique. In Science Journeys, Caltech graduate students and postdoctoral scholars explore a range of scientific topics that will spark students' curiosity and provide educators with supplemental resources to continue exploration in the classroom.This program is designed for middle and high school students, but everyone is welcome to attend.Programs are free through the generosity of the Friends of Beckman Auditorium.
