Sexual Assault Awareness Month: The Clothesline Project
San Pasqual Walk
The Clothesline Project addresses the issue of violence against women by providing a vehicle for women to express their personal experiences and stories of abuse through a customized t-shirt. The t-shirts are hung on clotheslines, creating a powerful visual representation of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence and abuse. Please join us in the fight against sexual violence by visiting the display. In addition to viewing the t-shirts, survivors and supporters of survivors can come to the display to make their own t-shirts to hang up on the clothesline.
A representative from the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center will be available with information and resources, and to answer any questions you may have.
