Title: Why I Love Natural  Products

The chemical synthesis of natural products provides an exciting platform from which to conduct fundamental research in chemistry and biology.  Many natural products possess structures that challenge the limits of current chemical technology and inspire the development of new synthetic strategies and tactics.  This seminar will discuss why natural products turned me into an organic chemist, why I think natural product synthesis is an important endeavor, and how my group approaches the problem of natural product total synthesis.
