Special Lecture: "Healthcare in the Two Indias: A Social Perspective"

George Chandy, professor of physiology and biophysics at UC Irvine, will discuss the social aspects of health care for the 700 million people in India who live on about one dollar per day and have little or no access to medical care. Chandy would like to brainstorm with Caltech students about developing new inexpensive technologies that would improve healthcare for the 40 percent of the people on this planet who live on about one to two dollars per day.
