Paula Apsell, Senior Executive Producer of the award-winning PBS science series—NOVA—will discuss the art of science communication on television and online. Using clips from the internationally acclaimed series, she will share how difficult scientific and sometimes challenging material is made not only accessible, but compelling to a wide range of viewers. She will also present the challenges and opportunities scientists face as they compete for the public's attention in an increasingly fractured and crowded landscape.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
