eClub brings you a six part lecture series to give entrepreneurs the legal background to start and run a new technology-based venture. This first lecture will cover collaborative research, including pros/cons, IP issues, joint inventions, preexisting IP, control of patent prosecution, IP issues with government funding, IP issues with international research, handling disputes, and a case study. It will be taught by DLA Piper, one of the largest law firms in the world. Olga Berson, JD/PhD, partner, and Caltech alum will be teaching the first class. Coffee and cookies provided by DLA Piper.
