Meditation Mob Elections Edition: Staying Grounded
Meditation Mob Elections Edition: Staying Grounded
Facilitated by Dr. Lee Coleman, Counseling Services, SWS
Tuesday, November 5th, 12-1pm
Hameetman Club Room 2
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, we'll all have lots of thoughts and feelings - so come join us for a mindfulness session to practice present-time awareness of our senses as a way of staying grounded and anchored amidst all of our mental activity.
-
Caltech's Meditation Mob is celebrating 11 years of weekly drop-in mindfulness sessions!
Meditation is sometimes seen as a passive activity, or a way of disengaging from the world - but nothing could be further from the truth. We come together in community to make space for our experience in all its fullness - especially the uncertain and difficult parts - so that we can engage fully with our lives. Cultivating present-time awareness helps us make better choices for ourselves by staying grounded, resilient, and regulated.
We meet every Tuesday from 12:00 - 12:50 in Club Room #2 in the basement of Hameetman Center. If you can't join us in person, you're always welcome to join us via Zoom; please visit the link below for the address. Whether you've joined us before, or whether you're new to meditation, we'd love to have you join us.
