STEMinar: Robin Aguilar- One FISH, Two FISH: A Story of Genomics Technology Development and Advocacy-Centered Scientific Communication

Robin Aguilar is a Seattle-based science communicator and illustrator with a Ph.D. in Genome Sciences from the University of Washington. Their specialization is in computational biology, synthetic biology, and technology development applied to microscopy in studying repetitive DNA in genomes. Robin is a former HHMI Gilliam and NSF GRFP Scholar. They also lead workshops on science communication, illustration, creative and technical writing, equity, and accessibility at national conferences, biotech companies, and graduate training programs.
