Stephen Hawking: Gödel and the End of Physics
- Public Event
The talk is over, but the text of the talk is online at Cambridge University. The page also contains a link to a Real Audio version of the talk.
When he's been here in the past, Dr. Hawking has at times drawn more than 2000 people. The capacity of Beckman Auditorium is 1150. Our planned overflow facility will allow almost 300 others to view a live simulcast of the event, and outdoor speakers will allow those who do not get in the ability to hear the talk.
Ticket Information
The lecture is free, but tickets are required. There will be a reserved section for invited guests, but there will be seats available to the general public.
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT ONLY, we will be distributing guaranteed-admission tickets (maximum of two per person) for this free lecture. The tickets will become void at 7:45 p.m., to allow us time to fill any remaining spaces in the auditorium with those who are waiting without tickets. Ticket distribution will begin at 9:00 a.m. that day at Beckman Auditorium (NOT at the Ticket Office). We will stop distributing tickets when we reach the capacity of the main auditorium. Those who do not have tickets are strongly encouraged to come that evening to wait for available space or be redirected to a planned overflow facility. We will also be broadcasting the talk (audio only) outside Beckman Auditorium.
