Student Shop Safety Hands-on Training

This is a mandatory class for persons using the Caltech Student Shop. Instruction covers hazards in the shop, personal protective equipment, and safe machine operation. The class will provide hands-on training on the use of various machine shop equipment available in the Student Shop with particular emphasis on woodworking equipment. Persons attending the class must wear shop-appropriate clothing, including closed toed shoes and long pants.

Location: Caltech Student Shop, located in Central Engineering Services

Interested attendees must register to meet minimum enrollment requirements. To register, log onto access.caltech  

1. Under Self Service, click the Training and Professional Development link.

2. Use the Search box to find your course.

3. Enroll in the course.
