The Caltech Engineers Without Borders chapter is hosting a Sustainable Engineering Seminar featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Michael R. Hoffmann, John S. and Sherry Chen Professor of Environmental Science.
Admission is $5 for students and $10 for the general public, and includes Nepalese food.

About the Speaker
Dr. Michael Hoffmann is a current professor at Caltech, having received a BA degree from Northwestern University in 1968, a PhD degree from Brown University in 1973. With over 300 peer-reviewed professional papers and authorship of 7 patents, Dr. Michael Hoffmann has impacted his fields as one of the most highly cited researchers in engineering in the world. Some of his research focuses include atmospheric chemistry, photocatalysis, nanotechnology, photo-electrochemistry, environmental water chemistry, and microbiology. These research interests have been applied to tackle meaningful problems, like access to clean water and the need for renewable energy, particularly in those still developing nations where needs are most prevalent.
