Take a faculty to lunch - Prof. Yisong Yue (EAS)

Hello Postdocs, As part of our "Take a faculty to lunch" series, the CPA will be hosting a lunch with Prof. Yisong Yue. Prof. Yue is an assistant professor in the Computing and Mathematical Sciences department here at Caltech and director of the DOLCIT, which is broadly centered around research pertaining statistical decision theory, statistical machine learning, and optimization. He received his B.S. from UIUC and his PhD in Computer Science from Cornell in 2011. Before joining Caltech in 2014, he worked as postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University and as research scientist at Disney Research. His research interests lie primarily in the theory and application of statistical machine learning, but he is more generally interested in AI.
