Test of Faith

There is a popular myth at large in both society and the church: that science and Christianity have been engaged in century-long battles. But are science and Christian faith really in conflict? Based at University of Cambridge, Faraday Institute for Science and Religion will present a series of interviews with top Christian scientists including Francis Collins, John Polkinghorne, and Jennifer Wiseman in a documentary film "Test of Faith." The 30-minutes movie screening is followed by a panelist discussion with Dr. Ruth Bancewicz, of Faraday, Dr. David Vosburg, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Harvy Mudd, and Dr. Tremper Longman the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies at Westmont College.

The conversation will explore how the growing field of neurobiology challenges some of our traditional understandings of the spiritual experience and how Christians thinkers are approaching these issues. The event is co-sponsored by Life Christian Fellowship at Caltech and Caltech Christian Fellowship, and is open to Caltech undergraduate, graduate students and faculty members.
