Texas Canyon Guide Book - Book Show

Texas Canyon is in the high desert between Santa Clarita and Agua Dulce, about a 30 minute drive from the San Fernando Valley. There are over 100 climbing routes on large sandstone conglomerate domes. Routes are from 5.0 to 5.13b. This is a great sport climbing area.

A guide book to Texas Canyon is just now out by Ben Chapman and Pam Neal. Ben and Pam are members of the Southern California Mountaineers' Association and are among the main developers of this crag. Caltech students also had a hand in it.

Irene Yee's photographs are featured in the book. Irene will be there to show you how she got all those amazing photographs in the book.

The guide book will be for sale at the show for $28.00 and no sales tax.

Convenient free parking is available on Wilson Avenue just south of Del Mar, or in the parking structure off Wilson after 6:00 pm.

The program is free and open to all; no tickets or reservations are required.
