Vishten

Vishten brings together young Acadians who are passionate about the music and dance of their region in Eastern Canada. In seven years, they have become genuine cultural ambassadors, having experienced success first in Canada then very quickly in the United States, Europe, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and beyond. They attribute their sound to the richness of their culture and their own experiences.

"A music from the new Acadie - a music that stands out from what existed. Theses original compositions reflect our exchanges with other cultures," they say. Also present are touches of aboriginal influence, as well as folk and rock, which becomes evident during their concerts. Vishten takes us on a voyage through the centuries via traditional music and their arrangements of ancient Acadian melodies.
