Caltech Community Gallery at the Armory Center for the Arts

The Caltech Graduate Student Council and Caltech Dining Services cordially invite all members of the Caltech community and their guests to attend:

The opening reception of the Caltech Community Gallery
at the Armory Center for the Arts
Friday October 13, 5-6pm

Followed immediately by Pasadena ArtNight, from 6-10 pm in the same location

After the Caltech reception our display becomes part of the official Pasadena ArtNight, which is open to the entire public and expects to draw 30,000+ visitors to a handful of Pasadena museums. The evening will feature performances by Caltech performing groups as well as some light refreshments during the reception. The Caltech Community Gallery will then remain on display at the Armory through November 12, so come back again with your friends and family!

This gallery display is drawn from works submitted by members of the Caltech community to various art contests over the last year and tells portions of the Caltech story from the mundane experiences of members of our community to the world-renowned science we are working on. The themes explored focus on creativity and the intertwined nature of science and the arts – themes that unite the Caltech community to the Pasadena community with their shared rich history at the intersection of art and science. The specific pieces are part of a curated show that has been traveling around Pasadena, with this as their grand finale in a never-before-seen display custom-built for this unique gallery space. You won't want to miss it.
