Caltech Alert: Caltech's Shelter in Place Remains in Effect - Update 1 - 4:50am

Police are searching the campus. If you are on campus, continue to shelter in place. Buildings are locked. If you are off campus, stay away. More information will follow.

Caltech Alert: All Clear - Final Update - 5:13am

Pasadena police completed their search for an armed* person on campus. They have determined that the report was not credible. The campus is cleared for a return to normal operation. Buildings will remained locked throughout the day and accessible via key card only. Security presence and patrols on campus have been increased.

*The original campus message said the person was "unarmed"
