Mark Your Calendar – Explore JPL Event is April 29-30, 2023
Limited tickets available for the annual open house event
JPL's annual "Explore JPL", a ticketed event during which JPL opens its doors to members of the public, will be held April 29-30, 2023. "Explore JPL" is a journey through the wonders of space. Highlights for visitors include the ability to see a life-size model of the Mars rover Perseverance; to visit a robotics area showcasing various robots that researchers are working on; and to stop at JPL's machine shop—where spacecraft parts are built—, the Microdevices Lab—where engineers and scientists use tiny technology to revolutionize space exploration.
Admission to "Explore JPL" is free, but timed tickets are required and limited. Online ticket registration for all tickets opens promptly at 9 a.m. PDT on Sunday, April 2, 2023. History has shown that tickets for this event are completely reserved in the first 10-15 minutes.
In addition to the general public tickets being released at explore.jpl.nasa.gov, members of the Caltech community (students, staff, faculty, and postdocs) will have the ability to access a limited number of tickets that are being set aside for members of the Caltech community. These tickets must be reserved in advance, beginning at 9 a.m. PDT on Sunday, April 2, 2023, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. This is the dedicated reservation link for members of the Caltech community: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/caltech-explore-jpl-2023-tickets-597528292207.
A maximum number of 5 tickets per requestor may be reserved. When ordering, you must use your Caltech.edu email address and you must enter each individuals name on their reserved ticket. Tickets with duplicate names will be automatically canceled. Note that children two years of age and under do not require tickets.
To enter JPL on the day of the event you are scheduled, you must have your ticket and a matching government-issued ID for all individuals who are 18 years old or older. For additional details on the event or reservation requirements, visit https://explore.jpl.nasa.gov.
